Estudos abordando segurança no uso de c.nardus são imperativos para adoção da mesma em protocolos de cuidados no SUS. intervals between 12 and 480 minutes depending on the concentration and form of presentation of the product. Reapplying the product, considering its protection time, doubles the protective effectiveness of c.nardus, C.nardus is not absorbed by the skin like DEET products, making it a less toxic product. Conclusion: Products based on c.nardus can contribute as a complementary measure of protection against arboviruses. Studies addressing safety in the use of c.nardus are imperative for its adoption in care protocols in the SUS.

Abstract
Technology: Use of citronella. Indication: Repellent against Aedes aegypti. Question: What are the efficacy and safety of the repellent properties of citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) against Aedes aegypti compared with usual methods? Objective: To analyze the efficacy and safety of the repellent properties of citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) against the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Methods: Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology using the following databases: PUBMED, BVS/LILACS, EMBASE, SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE, and COCHRANE. Results: C. nardus has repellent properties against Aedes aegypti for intervals ranging from 12 to 480 minutes depending on the concentration and presentation of the product. Reapplying the product, considering its duration of protection, doubles the protective effectiveness of C. nardus. C. nardus is not absorbed through the skin like DEET products, indicating that it is a less toxic product. Conclusion: Products based on C. nardus may contribute as a complementary protective measure against arboviral diseases. Studies addressing the safety of C. nardus use are essential for its adoption in SUS care protocols. intervals between 12 and 480 minutes depending on the concentration and form of presentation of the product. Reapplying the product, considering its protection time, doubles the protective effectiveness of c.nardus, C.nardus is not absorbed by the skin like DEET products, making it a less toxic product.
